So I am sitting at home, watching the live action Sailor Moon. I love this show so much. Every time I watch Sailor Moon I remember just how much I love this! Japanese people are so pretty. Men and women alike. I wish I was that skinny too so that I could dress like them. Have you ever flipped through a Japanese fashion magazine? Such great clothes!
So I have a horrible habit. When I write, I listen to music. I know what you're thinking...that doesn't sound like such a bad habit. BUT IT IS! I have developed the need to have the perfect song playing while I write. So I spend much of my time searching for the song that fits what I want to write. It is actually pretty stupid when you think about it...and it gets worse. Because I so desire just the perfect song, I often buy new music just to write to it! I'm spending way too much money on this! WTH?! I have got to break this habit! I have tried working on it and am getting a little better.
So why don't I just listen to Pandora or something you might ask. I don't trust Pandora to give me the right inspiration. I mean, it is fine for listening to at work and that is how I have discovered a lot of my new music. However, Pandora seems to think I need to like operatic rock. I LOATHE this kind of music anymore. It used to be that I would listen to Nightwish and Evanescence, but they're now overdone and pretty crappy. But I won't rant on operatic rock right now. I've already done that on Facebook.
As for other things, I am wanting to write too many stories at once. What do I do with this? I mean, I realize that I can jump around, but then I never finish anything. Ugh. What to do.
Also, I hate the CAPS LOCK button!!!

Love is the way
Oh Eli. How it saddens me and keeps me from watching any more episodes of Xena to know that you are going to die. I don't give a rats hind end if you are going to be a martyr for a good cause. The world needs you!
Does anyone else think that editing sucks? I know I need to fix my stories. Hell, I need to finish my stories. I need a "poof" button.
So who else has ever picked a single song and listened to it over and over and over again. What was it? Why this song? Why over and over? And how crazy were you at that point in time?
For me there are too many to name. But one song that I frequently repeat is the first track on the Kingdom of Heaven soundtrack which, HOW COINCIDENTAL, is the song I am listening to right now. I am listening to it because it makes me think of my Book of Seas. This song is the cause of much inspiration for that story. Over and over, because I like doing that to songs. How crazy am I at this point in time? Well, crazy as underpants!
Another repeat song: My Boobs Are Okay by Lene Alexandra. The title alone should send you to you tube to hear it and then you will understand. Or maybe you wont. Either way, I'm not getting into it.

Views on the edge.
So I'm stuck on my writing. I have so many wonderful suggestions from people on Authonomy, but at the same time, I am a little overwhelmed. Holy buckets of so much to do, Batman! How many of you feel this way? Do you every get that little lazy feeling like "I want to better my writing. I want to follow these suggestions. At the same time, like so much else in my life, I want to be able to go "poof!" and have it be done.
Well, the vote is in. The work I move on to once I am finished with Stolen Child shall be Book of Seas! Woot! Woot! I do like that story. This will mean a lot more research on the Byzantine empire. So if anyone has any good readings on this, suggest them please!! We shall see what comes of this!
As for Stolen Child, I am in the process of struggling. I am nearing some very important events that up until now had seemed they should be separated. I realized that in my original storyline I thrice wrote in an event that could be summed up into one. I managed to work two of them in and make it okay, but I am thinking that the coming events might not work as well as I originally planned. What to do? Well. I think I shall write it and see what comes of it.
In other news...Titus Pullo brought down the Republic! Caesar may now elevate himself to tyrant!

To do or not to do...the old age question...
So you know how there are those things you really want to do? Those things that are oh so fun...and oh so time-wasting? Yep. I'm doing those tonight. I should be job hunting, because as of July 1, I'm officially screwed. However, I am procrastinating and wondering what to write. I know I would like to finish Stolen Child. I know plenty others who would like to just frakking finish Stolen Child already. On the other hand, I could watch another episode of Xena on my trusty-dusty Netflix. I also see that it is 9:13. So...close...to...bedtime! Well, at any rate, this old hag needs a good back massage, more applesauce, and a broom to pound the ceiling with. (WOOT WOOT! Mr. Heckles!)
What do you do in your old age?
On other subjects, I have been brainstorming ideas with Book of Seas, which seems to be the one desired to be put out next. Does everything really have to have a point? I'm thinking some things should. Not like a moral or anything, but a point. Something big that is behind it all. Perhaps I will discover it as I go along? So this leads me to my next question...when you write, those of you that do, does your story have a point or do you develop said point along the way? I don't care what the point is...for all I care it can be so your Mary-Sue can outshine everyone on the enterprise and shag Picard. (Because we all know that the entire point of a Mary-Sue is to shag the author's favourite character and she will shag them at some point...though I'm not sure that Wesley Crusher ever got any. Does anybody know the answer to that?)
Well, I'm off to the muse. She's pounding on my head and asking where the hell the phone charger is. Adieu all! (*whispers in scary Sokka voice* For now!)

Blisters and bubblegum.
So how many of you walk/run/tredmill/etc? How many of you do this in spurts and pretend you do it all of the time? HA! Okay, that aside, I am on the hunt for a new job. Ugh. I have a job at Old Navy part time and will be trying to get as many hours as possible from them but I need something else. I NEED TO PAY BILLS!!
So I had to do one of those blasted survey things. I hate those. Wow. I was so distracted by this that I didn't realize I need to get my bum into bed. Ugh. Well, more when I am not distracted.

Sushi Farmers
So after a long day at my second job, I am home to a wonderful fiance and sushi! Woot!
Currently, I have been listening to St. Augustine of Hippo's City of God. I find this book very enlightening in the points it makes. However, as far as the points, he tends to step on them by repeating and repeating the same thought over and over, just different ways. I have seen this happen sometimes in literature. Why, I think I am probably guilty of it in some of my own works. Does anybody else have any other literary pet peeves?
In other areas, I hope to high Heaven that I end up like Sophia from the Golden Girls when I am older! What a woman! She's sarcastic and blunt! Wow! I love her. Other than that, no clue!

I want Chinese food...
Mmmm...I could really go for some Chinese food.
Good news! I got a new iPod! I no longer have to go insane!!! *Mini celebration for my iPod!*
Okay, on to business! I suppose there isn't much business. I'm in a rut with Stolen child. For those of you who read on Authonomy and might be reading here, let me know if you think things are going too fast these last few chapters. Or how about just let me know about the pace in general? I think that is part of the problem. I always feel like there should be more in between some things and less of something else and then I'm spinning and I fall to the ground and there are those wontons again... Know the feeling? I think that is about it for today!
Oh! I got some samples for my wedding invitations!! WOOT WOOT!! They're so pretty. Can I have them all and just send out a different invitation to everyone? HAH!
